Rückbau ist, wenn man ein Haus rückwärts baut. Erst nimmt man das Dach ab, entfernt Wände, Fußböden, Fenster, und kurz vor Schluß sollte es in etwa so aussehen: wie ein Gerippe. Leute fahren mit Booten am ehemaligen Berliner Palast der Republik vorbei und schauen. Auch der Dom guckt zu. Bald soll da ein hübsches Schloß gebaut werden. Vorwärtsherum, natürlich. Elvis steht an der Laterne und denkt an fliegende Schuhe.
Deconstruction means building a house backwards. First you take the roof off, then you remove the walls, floors, windows, and you know you haven’t messed it up when it looks like this: a skeleton. People on boats sail by and look at the former Palace of the Republic in Berlin. The dome keeps watch, as well. Soon, they will build a pretty castle there. Forwards, that one. Elvis waits by the latern and thinks of flying shoes.
